As a little girl, Nikole would sneak out of her parent’s house on warm, summer nights to race her pony across the open fields. While she moved from her pony to a Saddlebred, her parents discovered the world of Arabian horses. With two beautiful broodmares by Garis and AM Sea Captain, they provided Nikole with the opportunity to fall in love with the Arabian breed. She remembers studying old Arabian Horse Times magazines until the pages fell out and trying to emulate the perfect stand-up with those lovely and patient broodmares.

As a young boy, immersed in the world of toy horses and Bonanza, Paul knew he was destined to own horses one day. That chance came in 2008, when he met a horse crazed girl who introduced him to her treasured Arabians. It was soon evident that Paul’s natural way with animals extended to the equine. Those Arabians took to Paul (and he to them) as if they had always been together. At the same time, he was hungrily studying Arabian bloodlines, explaining the pedigrees of those Arabians to anyone who would listen. His passion for the Arabian horse equaled Nikole’s, and they were married in 2011, sealing forever the passionate team that leads Victoria Cross Farm.

In the world of Victoria Cross Farm, the Arabian broodmare is queen. It all began with a Valentine’s Day gift from Nikole’s parents. Their prized broodmare, the Garis daughter Victorias Caress, was nearing her last years of foaling. With huge, black eyes, a long, hooky neck, and a fiery trot, Caress became the heart of VCF’s breeding program. Caress was bred to Da Vinci FM, producing an exquisite bay filly named VC Couture that is now VCF’s foundation broodmare. In 2012, while watching Caress’s granddaughter, Stiletto VC, win Reserve Champion and Top Ten Supreme Champion Yearling Filly at the Arabian Breeder’s World Cup, Paul and Nikole received news that Caress had peacefully passed away in her paddock at the age of 32.
VC Couture carried the torch of her mother until she tragically passed away in 2016 at the young age of 12. Her last foal was a beautiful filly by the champion producing Versace son, Odyssey SC. This lovely filly, named Coutures Caress VC in honor of her dam and granddam, will further continue the legacy of Victoria Cross Farm. Utilizing the bloodlines of internationally acclaimed stallions, Da Vinci FM, Magnum Psyche, AF Don Giovani, Gazal Al Shaqab, OFW Magic Wan, Psymadre, Magnum Chall HVP, Garis, Odyssey SC, Ryad El Jamaal, TF Psymreekhe, El Nabila B and more, Victoria Cross Farm continually seeks to enhance their program, providing the highest quality Arabians to the world. |
